School is out. It is Summer. :)
Shot through 3 rolls of film this weekend.
Kodak Portra 400. Now, I did get this developed at...er...um...{whispering] walmart. I know. Still, skin tones too magenta/red. Did not bother to tweak, hope you don't mind too much. ;)
And, of course, if I am outside, you know that means macro. Fuji Superia 800.
I bought some Popsicles. We are going to thoroughly enjoy Summer, and I hope you do too!
You. Are. Killing. Me.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your film work. And those purposely oof shots, adore (I just sat here for 30 seconds thinking of a word to describe how much I love them and that's what I came up with. Guess I'm speechless, lol!)
Thanks Kristine! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cool that you're experimenting with film! That macro is razor sharp!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness. let me count the ways in which I love this post: 1. FILM. (enough said). 2.) macro. 3.) macro BUGS, no less. 4.) awesome use of out-of-focus shots 5.) dappled light on that last one.

I'm enjoying seeing some shots done with film!! Love the macro!!!
ReplyDeleteYou've done a fabulous job with these, it's so great that you are trying film. I haven't for over 20 years and seeing these photos I think it's about time I tried again. Hope you can pass on some tips!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Heidi! It takes some guts to shoot film, there is no do-over or chimping and you really got some great shots. I love the OOF of the boys... such a cool way to show their play. The focus on the grass is so cool and the flowers and bugs are rockin' good. GREAT work!
ReplyDeleteLet's just say, I'm jealous of your summer being under-way. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great kickoff to summer! Beautiful colors. I really like what you are doing with the first couple. I love the narrow focus with your boys playing oof in the background. It looks like such an amazing place for them to grow up! And your flower macros are so light, airy and wonderful. Now, I want a popsicle!!!
ReplyDeletelove love love the bee.
ReplyDeleteevery time i look at your stuff, i think, I need to master this xsi, not pine for the 7D... ;)
